چکیده:
چکیده «شیخ محمد»، نقاش و خوشنویس عصر صفوی هیچ ردی از ارتباطش با سلاطین صفوی و حامیان درباری خود برجای نگذاشتهاست، اما شواهد تاریخی تأیید میکند بخش مهمی از فعالیت هنری شیخ محمد در دربار سلطان ابراهیممیرزا برادرزادة شاه طهماسب در مشهد بوده است؛ و بهویژه در خلق چندین نسخه از شاهکارهای درباری این عصر همکاری داشته است. از آنجاکه یکی از شاخصههای آثار وی توجه به جنبههای واقعیت و گسست از ادبیات و پرداختن به مضامین زندگی روزمره است، پرسش اصلی مقاله پیشرو این است که آیا میتوان در تأیید مرقومات مورخین که شیخ محمد را ملازم سلطان ابراهیم میرزا دانستهاند، در لابلای آثار مرقوم و منسوب به او ردی از ارتباط وی با حامی و سلطان هنرپرور صفوی یافت؟ درجهت پاسخ به این پرسش، سه مجلس منسوب به شیخ محمد از نسخة هفت اورنگ مشهور به جامی فریر و نیز نگارة دولتی سرآغاز از یک نسخه ناقص هفت اورنگ موجود درکتابخانه موزه توپقاپی که نگارههای آن نیز به شیخ محمد سبزواری منسوب شده، معرفی و تحلیل شده است. این مقاله بهروش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی و از طریق گردآوری اطلاعات به شیوة کتابخانهای انجام شده و هدف از آن کشف ارتباط میان نقاش و حامیش سلطان ابراهیم میرزا است؛ تا بدین طریق گامی در جهت آشکارشدن زندگی و آثار این نقاش برداشته شود. نتایج حاصل نشان میدهد، شیخ محمد نقاش فرازهایی از زندگی حامی خود بهویژه جشن عروسی سلطان ابراهیممیرزا و همسرش گوهر سلطان خانم را بهصورت ضمنی و در پس یک روایت ادبی به تصویر کشیده؛ و بدین طریق نشانی از ارتباط و ارادت خود را نسبت به سلطان مطرح میکند.
