political relations through a general historical study, this article seeks to elaborate on a theoretical framework for developing political relations between the two countries and to present a practical pattern for its development. The main question of this article is what are the main factors affecting the Iran-India political relations. The author argues that various logics dominate the two countries' relations and that managing "conflict" has no place in Iran-India relations. He also maintains that their relations follow the "cooperation" and "competition" logics. The article also investigates the convergence of political attitudes dominating Iran and India at a national level, on the one hand, and their regional relations and ties, on the other, as well as their common perspective toward the international system based on conflict, cooperation and competition logic or a combination of them through emphasis on the "foreign policy logic" as the theoretical framework. The results of the study of Iran-India political relations in the mentioned theoretical framework presents a general and applied pattern to both countries' politicians to develop their relations.
