This study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of alternative profits of conventional private banks during the period (2005-2016) through the use of descriptive analytical method by applying the method of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to estimate the technical and volumetric efficiency. Using the (VRS) contestant returns scale with output oriented models to estimate efficiency values. The results showed:
1- There is a waste in the resources of all conventional private banks up to 24.47% according to contestant returns scale CRS_TE,
and banks can achieve their current output by consuming 82% of their total costs during the study period (2005-2016(
2- There is a clear improvement in the average efficiency according to contestant returns scale and contestant returns scale
from 2005 to 2016
3- There is an inconsistency between the size of deposits with the existence of profitable financing opportunities, because of the
stagnation of deposits and investments in banks under study.
4- There are significant differences between the averages of efficiency between conventional private banks according to the BCC model output oriented models according to the study period.
