Addiction to drugs is a chronic and recurrent disorder that has many negative consequences; these substances, with their effects on the nervous system, cause changes in consciousness, perception and mood, as well as the effects of substance abuse on the family, especially children, for a long time. Decision-making at the core of the program is a program that expresses a deep intellectual activity. In the meantime, each personchr(chr('39')39chr('39'))s decision-making style is his or her personal approach to understanding the reaction to his or her decision-making task. Drug use and its persistence can be strongly associated with peoplechr(chr('39')39chr('39'))s decision-making styles, so this study was conducted to compare the effectiveness of rational-emotional behavioral therapy and motivational interviews on decision-making styles in people with opioid abuse disorder. The present research project was a pre-test-post-test experiment with a control group. The statistical population included all men with substance abuse disorder in Nasim-e-Shahr opium, who in 2018 referred to drug abuse treatment centers in this city; Criteria for admission were male, lack of psychiatric disorder, failure to receive other psychological therapies simultaneously, and age ranges from 25 to 40 years, of which a sample of 45 individuals using randomized cluster sampling was selected. Accidentally, they were placed in two treatment groups with a rational-emotional behavioral therapy approach, and a motivational interview approach and a control group. A public decision-making style questionnaire (Scott and Bruce, 1995) was used to collect data. The first experimental group underwent ten 50-minute sessions of treatment with a rational-emotional behavioral therapy approach, and the second group underwent ten 50-minute sessions of treatment with motivational interviews. But the control group did not intervene. Data analysis or multivariate and variable covariance analysis tests were performed using SPSS software at a significance level of 0.05. The results of multivariate and univariate analysis of covariance test showed that rational-emotional behavioral therapy is effective in increasing the rational decision-making style and reducing the use of avoidant, immediate and dependent styles in people with opioid abuse disorder and has no effect on intuitive style. Also, motivational interviews do not affect the intuitive and rational decision-making styles of people with opioid abuse; but it is effective in reducing the use of avoidant, immediate and dependent styles. Also, the emotional behavioral therapy method is more effective on the rational style of people with opioid abuse than the motivational interview method. There was no difference between the two methods in avoidant, instantaneous, dependent and intuitive styles (P.
