چکیده:
کنشهای گفتاری یکی از مباحث مهم تحلیل گفتمان در حوزه زبانشناسی بهشمار میرود و در سالهای اخیر ابعاد مختلف اینگونه کنشها در زبانهای مختلف مورد مطالعه و توجه پژوهشگران و زبانشناسان قرار گرفته است. از جمله ابعاد مورد توجه اینگونه کنشها ساختار زبانی و کاربردهای آنان در زبانهای مختلف است. پژوهش حاضر به بررسی تطبیقی کاربردهای کنش گفتاری تملق در دو زبان فارسی و انگلیسی پرداخته است و بدین منظور کاربردهای این کنش گفتاری در مکالمات 120 فیلم (60 فیلم فارسی و 60 فیلم انگلیسی) مورد مطالعه قرار گرفت. پس از استخراج تمامی مکالمات مربوط به این کنش گفتاری در مجموعه مورد بررسی و جمعآوری اطلاعات موردنظر، مدل هایمز (1967) مبنای بررسی تطبیقی قرار گرفت. نتایج بهدست آمده حاکی از آن است که تملق در هر دو فرهنگ فارسی و انگلیسی برای نفوذ مثبت در مخاطبین مورد استفاده قرار میگیرد و کاربردهای این کنش گفتاری در زبان فارسی به 19 مورد و در زبان انگلیسی به 11 مورد میرسد. علاوه بر این، در هر دو زبان مورد مطالعه، کنش گفتاری تملق در هر دو موقعیت رسمی و غیررسمی یافت میشود اما در زبان فارسی استفاده از آن در موقعیتهای غیررسمی و خصوصی بسیار بیشتر از کاربرد آنها در موقعیتهای رسمی است. همچنین، بر اساس نتایج بهدست آمده، فراوانی و کاربرد تملق در زبان و فرهنگ فارسی بهمراتب بیشتر از زبان و فرهنگ انگلیسی است.
Cultuling analysis as a recent research line explores the tacit mixed knowledge of the interlocutors of their native language and culture thought patterns. Moreover, the study of the linguistic structures of speech acts and their functional values are among the key areas of study in discourse analysis and pragmatics which play essential roles in cultuling analysis. The present study has comparatively explored the manifestations and functions of flattery speech act in Persian and English languages. For the stated purpose, flattery instances were identified and extracted form a corpus of 60 Persian speaking and 60 English speaking film scenarios. Next, the extracted 343 Persian sample of instances and 228 English sample of flattery instances were analyzed and studied following Hymes (1967) model. The obtained results indicated that flattery is used in both Persian and English cultures in order to exert positive influence on the addressees. According to the obtained results, Persian speakers use flattery to seve 19 different functions, while English speakers use flattery for around 11 functions. In addition, in both studied languages, flattery speech act is found in both formal and informal situations; however, in the case of Persian language and culture, its application in informal and private situations is much more than its use in formal situations. Also, according to the results, the frequency and application of flattery in Persian culture is much higher than English culture.
