Background: The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of eight weeks of NASM exercises in both water and land environments on knee alignment, dynamic balance, proprioception, FMS functional test scores and Q angle of elite youth soccer players with genu varum deformity.Materials and methods: In this randomized controlled trial study, 45 youth soccer with Genu Varum deformity participated, and they were equally and randomly divided into three groups of control (without training), NASM exercises in land and NASM exercises in water.Findings: The results of the present study showed a significant increase in FMS functional test scores and Q angle and a significant decrease in joint angle reconstruction error and the distance between the internal condyles of the knee joints following NASM correction exercises in both dry and water environments (P0.05).Conclusion: Due to the improvement of the studied variables in soccers with Genu Varum deformity in both dry and water environments, the use of NASM corrective exercise protocols is recommended to therapists, coaches, and soccer athletes to correct Genu Varum deformity; however, we suggest to perform NASM corrective exercises in the water environment to improve static and dynamic balance.
