The research tool was the scale of communication patterns and marital conflicts. The subjects in the experimental groups participated in the Bowen family therapy training program, but the control group did not receive any training. Finally, the data were analyzed using SPSS software at two levels of descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (analysis of covariance and analysis of variance of repeated measures multivariate).
Findings: The results showed that Bowen's therapeutic approach led to a significant difference in the mean post-test scores of the experimental group in both variables of marital conflict and communication patterns.
Conclusion: Bowen's therapeutic approach can be useful in reducing the rate of marital conflict and improving the communication pattern of women with emotional divorce, and consequently, reduce emotional divorce and increase marital adjustment.
