After nutrition and health, clothing has been the third concern and need of the man throughout history. Not only civilized societies but also primitive societies have tried to provide some type of cover that protects them from the natural elements. Studies have made it clear that people have always benefited from their clothing as a message that represents their beliefs and customs. The purpose of the article is to introduce the clothes of the Median and Persian peoples based in the plateau of Iran based on the pictures left by them and the possibility of influences on their clothes from each other. At the same time, the formal, decorative and symbolic features of their clothes are also expressed.
It seems that the main difference in their clothes is due to the influence of geographical factors and their daily activities. Studying the images left from the past is a method that guides us to the goal of study. (A study done by others or done by the author.)
This method of study has been done by different people over time and is common.
The results show that both groups of Medes and Parses after entering the plateau of Iran under the climatic conditions of these regions, gradually made changes in their clothes according to the geographical conditions and social activities.
Although the clothes of the Persian people, which were used in various ceremonies, seem to be more based on their cultural origins, but the efficiency of Medes clothing, especially as a battle dress, prompted Cyrus to use it for his cavalry.
