This study aimed to combine the studies conducted on the effectiveness of neuropsychological interventions on executive functions by a meta-analysis research process. The study population consisted of available full-text Articles, dissertations, and research projects published in Iran from 2010 to 2020 in quarterly journals and scientific research journals and scientific information databases of University Jahad of the country, Computer Research Center for Islamic Sciences, Private site of Iran Magazines Bank.Based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, among the 126 extracted studies, 71 studies selected and 132 effect sizes analyzed. Sensitivity analysis, funnel plot, fixed and random effects models, and heterogeneity analysis with CMA2 software were used for data analysis. The results showed that neuropsychological interventions had a significant effect on executive functions and the combined effect size for the random-effects model was large based on Cohen's criterion (ES = 1.22). The results also showed that the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder category has the highest effect size among the different classes studied, and neuropsychological interventions have the most effect on the working memory component among executive functions. As a result, therapists and specialists are advised to use neuropsychological interventions to improve and enhance clients' planning, attention, inhibition, and working memory abilities.
