The open space between buildings, which is the essence of residential complexes, can be a lively space in which people voluntarily and willingly find a permanent presence. This presence has advantages that lead to the flourishing and growth of collective life. To create human interactions based on biogeography, the discussion of space and environment interaction with people and its impact on the formation of human interactions based on biogeography was examined. The interaction of space with people, which are the same as environmental factors, was divided into three factors: physical, semantic and functional. Case study, the respondents were randomly selected from 10 selected residential complexes in Tehran, of which about 315 were returned from about 1000 distributed questionnaires, and finally the information about the physical part was done in the form of questionnaires and interviews with users. Then, with the help of t-test in SPSS software, the relationship between the amount of human interactions based on biogeography and residential open space conditions was explained. According to the significance level of the test, there was a significant difference between the factors affecting social interactions in terms of individuals (P <0.05). Among the factors, physical factors had the most impact and functional factors had the least impact compared to other factors. According to the mentioned results, the boldness of physical factors emphasizes the role of the architect as a space designer, and the designers, according to these features in the design of the space, lead to the promotion of interactions and a sense of satisfaction of the residents.
